Alta Redshift MXR no start fix!

Having an Alta Redshift MXR dirt bike is kind of like owning an original Tesla Roadster, there is little to no support. The original company Alta Motors went under a couple of years back, see some of that interesting history here: Alta Fortnine Video

Recently I experienced a no-start issue and I had very little information, manuals, or service centers to troubleshoot with, so I began to think I owned a very expensive paperweight. I reached out to a forum member from www.electricdirtbikeriders.com who told me to call him. He turned out to be a former Alta Motors employee and knew these bikes inside and out. He was able to send me service guides on checking the ignition switch, and after that tested fine, he troubleshoot with me the 9V battery within the (Accessories Control Module) ACM. Alta had a video showing dropping the main pack to access the ACM, but I found another forum post of someone accessing it without removing the pack. I got the battery and it tested at 6V, so I replaced the battery, and…..bam she fired right up! Huge shout out to forums, I know they are a dying resource but they are invaluable!
