Code GTW_w182 fix

Does your Tesla Model S or X show an Error Code GTW_w182 Park Assist Unavailable? Today's journey brought us down a rabbit hole of knowledge that I wanted to share. A customer brought the car to us with Park Assist Unavailable displayed on the Instrument Cluster, and under Service, it showed as an active code. The customer had an active software update, so I tried that first. After that, I went to the area that had a recent problem (tire blew out on the front right side, causing body damage, airline damage, and wiring damage). Upon Inspection I observed a parking sensor head that looked different than the others (see first image) After focusing on the sensor, I observed the Part Number on the Sensor as 1048474-00-A (image 2). I took that information to EPC Tesla and verified it does go to an S or X, but not this one and not this location in the Fender Garnish. 1048474-00-A is used on Auto-Pilot 1 (AP1) cars, and this is an AP2.5 Model X. See Image 3. The customer needed 1099611-00-D, I did not get the final reward of seeing all my efforts pay off, because I advised the customer to return to the collision center and have them finish the job and install the correct sensor.
