Extending the Tesla S under tray with our rear diffuser extension makes use of Bernoulli’s Principle to decrease the air pressure beneath the car and increase the speed of the air. It acts as an expansion chamber to manage the air as it exits from underneath the car and reintegrates it with higher-pressure ambient air. Smoothing this transition reduces turbulence and drag in the car’s wake and improves airflow under the car
Strakes/ Fins are vertical fences. Strakes/Fins serve two main functions: keep tire squirt from the diffuser tunnels and to be vortex generators. Tire squirt can be minimized by using strakes/Fins to reduce the amount of tire wake (dirty turbulent air) making its way into the diffuser tunnel.
